More women are going places in surveying. It’s
a rewarding, challenging, well-paid career. They are welcomed,
competing equally with men. They work in traditional surveying
and in emerging areas of land-information management and remote
sensing.
Numbers have been low in the past, but have risen to 10 per
cent nationally. Some areas have many more women. With a national
shortage of surveyors predicted, there are many great opportunities
for women.
