ADSL technology - runs on existing copper lines and allows the simultaneous use of the existing phone line and broadband services. ADSL offers an "always on" connection without dialup fees.

CanberraNet business broadband is NOT comparable to other broadband services you may see advertised. We are offering you a DIRECT CONNECTION to the Telstra Backbone with a permanent IP address ie. no sharing bandwidth with other users - this is a business quality service. We will provide DNS, MAIL and WEB Services.

Best speeds and performance are achieved if you are within 3.5km from your exchange. There may be some limitations on availability. All Canberra exchanges are equipped for Broadband, however, certain lines that have splitters/multiplexers installed cannot be used. 

Setup requires installation of a filter on your line both at the exchange and your premises and, installation and configuration of a router or modem. We will arrange for our phone contractor to visit your premises. Total lead time for installations should be around 5 days.
